fcc opened up 6ghz band for nextgen wifi devices

[Alex] sent us this job he’s working on where he’s building a phototransistor based multitouch input system. though lots of people have developed systems with phototransistors, a lot of of them are rather big as well as extremely sensitive light as well as dark variances. [Alex] has done some elegant background subtraction with software. He believes his is the very first to do this. As you can see in the video after the break, it seems impervious to the lamp he is moving around, as well as still relatively sensitive to his hand. We’re curious to see where he takes this one.
